Changelog

What's changed.

Querent is built incrementally and in public. Below is the running list of user-facing changes — features, content, and editorial work — newest first.

  1. May 6, 2026

    The Tradition section

    • New /tradition hub linking the deck, spreads, and reversal modes.
    • Greer's four reversal modes documented at /reversals with worked examples.
    • Glossary at /glossary — forty-five tarot terms in plain language.
    • Citations index at /citations — every quoted line across the seventy-eight cards, grouped by author and linkable back to the card.
    • Death card retired from the homepage feature; The Star takes its place. (Same card, kinder welcome.)
  2. April 28, 2026

Reading context, memory, and the rename to Querent

    • Renamed from Tarrot ME to Querent. New domain, new look, same engine.
    • Reader engine now loads a structured reading context — relationships, recent events, prior readings — before the narrator writes.
    • Prior readings are remembered across a session; the narrator cross-references earlier draws when relevant.
    • Active astrological correspondences (current planetary positions) inform readings where the cards' attributions match.
    • Full read-and-write API live at api.querent.life, including saved readings, reading history, and live re-narration.
  3. April 15, 2026

    Reader Session intake

    • New conversational intake before each reading. The reader can ask up to a few clarifying questions to sharpen vague prompts.
    • Surveillance questions about absent third parties get reframed as questions about the seeker's own concern.
    • The intake recommends the right spread for the question instead of forcing the seeker to pick blind.
  4. March 28, 2026

Daily streaks, weekly recaps, and private circles

    • Daily card draw with streak tracking.
    • Weekly recap surfaces patterns across the week's readings.
    • Private circles let small groups share readings with each other (and only each other).
  5. March 10, 2026

    Reading conversations

    • Ask follow-up questions after a reading. The narrator answers from the saved spread, not from a fresh draw.
    • Threaded message history saved per reading.
  6. February 20, 2026

    Mobile app on iOS

    • Querent for iPhone shipped on the App Store. Apple Sign In, on-device cache, push-ready.
    • RevenueCat-backed subscriptions and credit packs.
  7. January 15, 2026

    The narrator

    • Claude (Sonnet 4.6) writes the prose narration in Querent's voice, working from the engine's structured interpretation.
    • Narrator constrained by a long, cached system prompt enforcing tradition fidelity and house voice.
    • Citations preserved alongside the prose — every line is traceable back to a published source.
  8. December 10, 2025

    The reader engine

    • Deterministic engine reads spread + draw → patterns + dignities → per-card interpretation with Greer reversal mode.
    • Greer's four reversal modes (opposite, excessive, blocked, underdeveloped) selected per card based on context.
    • Elemental dignities (Golden Dawn) applied to adjacent cards in every spread.
  9. November 1, 2025

    The knowledge base

    • Seventy-eight cards, twenty-seven spreads, one hundred fifty-plus card combinations, full methodology library.
    • Every card carries imagery from RWS, Thoth, and Marseille; Greer reversal modes; and four-to-six published citations.
    • Authors in the source library: Waite, Crowley, Pollack, Greer, Gray, Nichols, DuQuette, Place, Snow.

For the engineering log, source code, and full phase history, the project's about page is the right starting point. For what's next, the best window is the readings themselves — anything we ship next will appear here when it does.
